Introduction to Animation Skills
Introduction to Animation Skills
29/01/24 - 11/02/24
Introduction
This is an introductory module that explores core animation and software skills. This is a short module designed to help transition those from other disciplines over to animation, however, I wanted to use it as a 'back to basics' warm-up activity. One of the key challenges to studying this course will be balancing work, studying and personal life together so this acts as a great introduction to easing into this.

Conclusion
This was a good warm up activity to get into the swing of studying again and dusting off any cobwebs! I spent way too long on the second unit, however, I was unfamiliar with how the university planned on engaging with us due to lack of notifications and direction. Therefore, I sunk my teeth into Unit 02 to develop my 3d modelling skills and as such I realised I'd gotten behind with the main assessed module! Luckily I had a holiday at work, which I used to catch up and get back in sync with the weekly unit releases on the Creature animation module.
Despite this it was really fun to apply some in-depth research and practical skills to develop some great 3D outcomes. I really want to achieve firsts or above on this course and I think I have the skills to do just that. I want to take a 'back to basics' approach with everything so that I focus on the core quality of my work. I plan to explore all stages of the production pipeline in depth, particularly preproduction, in the hope of producing even more professional work!
